He has simple desires and wants simple things, it's only his unwillingness to explain himself that makes him seem mysterious...and so people project their own prejudices on him. I'm not immune to it either...but he's not really at all the arrogant and mysterious man people think he is. He's lazy and falls asleep if he's left alone in bright sunlight long enough and is a playful little brat, and nobody really knows.
