[After their night out on the town and the sudden and abrupt end to it (and after taking some time to nurse the awful hangover after the fact), Kaveh will receive a message over the shellphones.]
Mr. Kaveh, if you can call me at your earliest convenience, I would appreciate it.
[It's surprisingly straightforward, coming from Lyney.]

[ Only because he knows that he has kind of hurt Kaveh's feelings - unintentional though it might have been.
Though this time when he speaks, it seems to be in a... Slightly different tone. ]
The warning, Kaveh, was not meant to hurt nor cause any sort of internal conflict. One tends to spend many years avoiding "complications" as a means to not face that which is before them. Then, one day, they look back at how such matters have been left unresolved and yearn for a return to the days in which they might have handled those "complications" differently.
Time is not so readily reversed. Like the grains of sand time is likened to, opportunities will also slip through one's hands. Thus what I offer is not mind-reading nor a glimpse into the future, but experience.

Set after Kaveh's rescue mission and after Dragon's Gale, but before the Hideaway sail

[After the whirlwind of events that happened after Kaveh's imprisonment and the following events at the Dragon's Gale, Lyney will decide that he will need a few drinks. Several, in fact, as well as an eager ear to listen to his gossip. Which is why he appears before Kaveh and Alhaitham's door, knocking firmly yet quickly. And when a familiar blonde answers the door, Lyney grins wide and bows deep before straightening up.]
Kaveh, my friend! I'm glad to see you're hale and hearty! Are you busy right now? Come, we simply must celebrate your freedom together!
[He doesn't really give Kaveh much time to think it over, for he's simply going to grab Kaveh by the front of his shirt to pull him out the door. A quick peek into the door, he spies a certain Scribe sitting on the couch in the living room. Not wanting to be rude, Lyney waves a happy salute to Alhaitham.]
Au revoir, mon ami obstiné! I'll return Kaveh in one piece, on my honour as a magician!
[That's all Alhaitham will get before he all but kicks the door closed behind him. Come on, they have drinks to get.]

[A couple of pictures are being sent Kaveh's way. They're all of Alhaitham at varying distances while he appears to be studying piles of rocks. He has a very somber, thoughtful look on his face- except for one of them, where he's staring right at the camera with what must be a look of confusion.]
For your secret collection~

[On this fine day where it doesn't seem like anything can go wrong, Kaveh gets a certain message on his phone.
Opening up said message shows that it only holds a single thing: a not so clear photo of somebody who's made an admirable attempt of taking a picture of fish in a pool. Except that the pool looks like its underground based on the lighting, and the fish look particularly distinctive...
If Kaveh is still confused, accompanying the picture is a short and simple caption:]
Fish :)

[After he and him alone totally dropped his convo with Alhaitham, Ranma's just going to slide on over to dad's an architect twink's PM on the network to bitterly complain.]
Your roommate's a jerk.
[This could easily be read in the same tone as a kid telling on someone, and no one would blame you.]

Hey, Kaveh, right?
name's Reno. I picked up some of the sensors for your commission, but I had some questions about the specs. Let me know when you got a minute.

[Lyney knows that Kaveh's kindness is unusual, but right now... he's kind of banking on it. Kaveh's a good man. He just hopes that kindness will extend to the bombshell he's about to drop.]
[Kaveh will get a quick little message that, coming from Lyney, is unusually straightforward. Just an address to a local cafe and a short message:]
Please meet me here if you can. I have something important to tell you.

[Unlike Lyney, Freminet was downright terrified of seeing what Kaveh's reaction would be if he told him in person. For now, he debated would it even be okay to talk to him over a text. At the same time, he knows he has to do this.]
...Mr. Kaveh, are you available at the moment?

[Heizou finds himself knocking on Kaveh's door before he's even really aware of where he is. And he'll wait there for as long as it takes for the older man to open it, whether it's in answer to his knock or just because he's about to head out.
Whenever Kaveh answers, though, he'll find Heizou out there looking... lost. He's a bit of a mess, like he hasn't slept in days, and his usually bright, sharp eyes are dull and hollow. And he's also not quite meeting Kaveh's gaze.]

...Hi.

[While things may be a little rocky between the members of the House of the Hearth and the other residents of Teyvat, life goes on around them. And though alliances and allegiances may be important to humans, those kinds of bonds aren't as important when it comes to cats. And when a cat wishes to wander to where it finds interesting, it is very hard to keep a determined feline from going where it pleases.]
[So when the tantalizing whiff of catnip reaches the sensitive nose of a wandering Rosseland, the cat makes a beeline for it. Which is why there is currently a rotund feline rolling in the catnip, as content as a cat can be.]

[Okay... Izuku considers himself a fairly smart person but... He also doesn't want to jump to conclusions. Time to gently poke.]
Kaveh-san? Are you alright?
Kaveh-san? Are you alright?
[When he skimmed over the postings on the manta board and got to the bounties, the first caught his eye almost immediately, keeping him from looking forward. The descriptions on the bounty were too much of a coincidence for him to mistake it for anyone. The only other gold and silver pairing he knows are metals and a song from the red-nose reindeer movie, so...]
Wouldn't have taken you for the seduce-and-swindle type.

[Even with as much as he has on his own plate, Gale remains invested in making an effort to be a thoughtful friend and neighbor— there is part of him that is certain that even an entire world away, on a wholly different plane, his mother would somehow know if he was not. She had raised him better than that, after all, and a little deterioration thanks to a certain orb was no reason not to keep that in mind— or something along those lines.
It's early afternoon when he finds himself outside Kaveh and Alhaitham's door. Tara was off on business of her own, leaving him to make this delivery by his lonesome, and he lifts his fist to rap lightly against the door while balancing a covered basket on one arm.]
Is anyone in?
[He certainly hopes so, given that they ought to be resting.]

To Kaveh,
Greetings sir!
Happy Holidays, I saw that you're quite the architect back in your home! Architecture and ability to create is its own, special form of magic! I do hope that you find this gift to be both useful and enlightening in your future creations!
Santa Claus
[Kaveh's present is a book on the various, unique architecture throughout Escordvi and the history and thought that went into their creation!]

[To be honest, Freminet wasn't too sure what to give Kaveh. However, he just hoped that he liked some freshly baked chocolate chip cookies along with a book about architecture. From there, there is a note that reads:
Dear Kaveh,
Merry Christmas. I hope you like your present.
-Freminet.]

Yo, Kaveh.
You got a pretty nice sense of style, and I need a new get-up for an event. Last time I gave the reigns to the local tailor, I was almost covered head to toe in fake flowers. Naturally, that's left me with some trust issues, so you wanna meet up on Elah and help me out?
